Holiday time is downtime in many business environments.
When asking for a meeting, the auto response is, I will talk to you next year.
That is the default type of thinking during the distraction of the Holidays.
Less is expected and more excuses are used, blaming the season for delays.
Use the holiday season as an opportunity!!!
Send out a reminder to clients that your office is active and fully staffed during the next 6 weeks, prepared to take on new work.
If you have been chasing a prospective client without success all year, use the holiday time to change the dynamic of your relationship.
Look to attend the same industry or holiday parties where the prospect may attend.
The week before the event, engage this person on multiple social media platforms.
Like, share, and comment on their posts.
It will allow you to become familiar with their interests while they become more aware of you. At these events, you can steer the conversation towards subjects they have shown interest in, and then be a very good listener & not a talker.
You will be surprised how much fun people have when talking about themselves.
When not attending holiday parties, use this time to clean up old files, organize your workspace, & complete those projects you could not find time for during the past year.
These next 6 weeks will present you with the time you need to complete important items from your 2024 agenda, so you can face 2025 with a fresh perspective and a new set of goals for the coming year.
Tip of the Week:
Along with more spending, there is much more theft during the holiday season.
A Fraud Prevention reset is a great end of year practice.
Change your passwords and make them longer. Set up 2 factor authentication for all financial accounts and email accounts where it is not already in place.
Freeze your credit at all 3 bureaus.
Have packages delivered to a house where someone is home or at work.
Porch pirates are in full swing this time of year.
Beware of theft in mall parking lots during this time of year.
Thieves will smash and grab items left in your car if they are visible.
If you walk to your car alone, they may smash & grab you and your vehicle.
Pepper spray only works if you walk to the car with your free hand holding your finger firmly on the trigger.
Quote of the Week:
